It's the Holiday Season and I have completely forgotten about Christmas. What?!! It's true. I've been so busy, ugh. I'm steadily working on the new website, you will be seeing changes as often as I can figure out how to do them. Im no webmaster, but I am learning. I have tons of new stuff coming up and am doing my best to offer some deals and specials for the older Cd's that I have, and free songs to mailing list members, and basically just try to get more of my songs out there in more ipods. Get on the mailing list and find out about all the wheelin' and dealin' and special news. Do it! Touring is on the back burner for a second or two, although there will be shows periodically. Worry not, I will be touring again, I'm just taking some time off to focus on some of the behind the scenes business stuff that I have been slacking on. I'm still unsure where I'll be for Christmas, but... I'm sure I'll be somewhere. So, as I sit here my brain is fried and so I'm just gonna post a couple Christmas Specials up and if you're interested in them, just click on them and see where it takes you. I need a Christmas nap. Wait... when exactly is Christmas? Sigh.... June 14, 2010 Wanna WIN A GUITAR??? You can! Click HERE!! To be given away at Eddie's Attic, June 20th with Sarah Peacock. You do NOT have to be present to win!! We will call you from the stage if you aren't there and we will ship the guitar to you, within the US of course. Sorry International orders, you'll have to pay for the shipping. Go get your raffle tickets!!! For tickets to the show, hit up www.eddiesattic.com April 8, 2010 The new Cd, "A Little Bit Of You" is still in production and will be released later this summer. Originally I had planned on putting out a quick little EP with six songs on it, then I decided that was dumb. As soon as the full length Cd comes out, no one will buy the EP and I'll end up sitting on the order of EP's that didn't sell. Doesn't make sense. Plus, I wanted to make it a little more of an investment in making the Cd different than anything I've done before and include the influence of my co-writer, Sarah Peacock, who is also co-producing the Cd with me. So, we are taking our time with finishing up the recording and the additional songs. If you are one of the wonderful people who pre-ordered the EP, DON'T WORRY, you will be getting the full Cd instead. It's just gonna take a bit longer than we expected. If you don't wanna wait and you decide you want your money back, shoot me an email with your order # and I'll make sure you have your refund. My hope is that you'll be patient. I'm about to head north for the summer and work with some of the awesome musicians that I miss dearly. Madison, Wisconsin is where I hide away for the summer months. Last year was the final performance for the full band, but that doesn't mean I'll be on stage by myself all the time. The collaboration of myself and Beth Kille will resume as we dust off the "Dirt & Sunshine" magic show and hit the stage this summer. We are working on new songs, old songs, your songs, my songs.... er... umm... you know what I mean. I am also working with SandMan Music again - my awesome booking agency that is growing like a weed these days - yay!! Progress progress progress. You know when they have to add more agents that good things are happening. :) I heart them. And on that note, I will say... thank you to my friend, Sarah Peacock, who has spent nearly every day with me for the past year, living on tour with me. I have learned so much from her, as she is one of the most talented women I have ever met in my life. As I'm sure you would expect with two chicks on tour together, it was... interesting at times... but I wouldn't change any of it. She has decided to stay off the road for a while and plant some roots in Nashville and work on pitching songs to the big famous artists. I have no doubt she will do it too... check her out if you want to hear a Peacock sing. www.sarahpeacockusic.com Please stay tuned for all the changes that are happening in my career... keep checking the website and facebook. www.facebook.com/jessilynnmusic Don't forget to "follow" me too... All you tweeters. www.twitter.com/jessilynnmusic 1.15.09 Venice Fans!!! This deal is only good until midnight tomorrow as I will be flying to St Croix for a seven week tour and will be unable to burn, sign or ship any Cd's from that point on. Get em now!! Click here to pre-order. 1. 05. 10 Jessi Lynn is working on her fifth project, due out this summer. She has been working hard since January of 2009, with no time off in between tours, all in an effort to slow down and put out a new project. Release date and title of the new project are yet to be determined. Stay tuned, there's a lot of great things happening here. 12.17.09 Today is my beautiful neice's third birthday! Happy Birthday Evie! Christmas is right around the corner and I finally remembered to put up my Christmas song on here. I get requests for it all the time, but... They will be traveling non-stop until they run out of gasoline... and then they'll probably start walkin'. They are adding new dates every day and are excited to see new parts of the country and meet new people on this journey. The European Tour that Jessi Lynn was scheduled to do has been canceled. Instead, Sarah and Jessi will take their tour to the Virgin Islands and will bask in the sun... doop doop doop... |

October 28, 2010
I have a couple of weeks left in Wisconsin before I take off and head south for a while. The next tour coming up starting in Nov, will include Sarah Peacock once again. We are calling it The Beans & (we can't afford) Rice Tour. Being on the road is exhausting and expensive, so we thought the title was appropriate. We will be hitting GA, SC, FL, and Texas in Nov-Dec. After that, we will part ways again and continue on separately. I don't exactly have a plan for Jan-March yet, but as usual, things generally work out for me. I am one blessed songwriter, I'll tell you that right now. :) Check out the Tour page to see where we are headed. Keep checking back too, we're adding dates all the time. And if you are interested in throwing a holiday party and need entertainment, shoot me an email! I love private parties... my fav! jlbooking@jessilynn.com If you haven't gotten your copy of the new Cd, now's the time to do it! I'm actually doing a special right now on the two Cd's that were released this year, so check out the Music Shop and pick up the new music. Also, I have tons of necklaces and bracelets that people keep asking me to put online, which is a splendid idea, but I can't keep them in stock long enough to get them up online. So, get to a show so you don't miss out on the fancy fun stuff I'm doing. See you on the road! PS... I cut my hair AGAIN, so... hang tight for the new website pictures that will eventually come around. I can't keep up with my own self! August 21, 2010 The new Cd has been doing amazing in sales! So good, in fact, that I've had to re-order already, which is so incredible. I have not had any time to contact press or submit the disk for reviews and it's doing better than any of my other Cd's. I am well aware of the blessings that I wake up to everyday by being able to do this for a living and having this record turn out to be so successful, well... I am truly amazed. I'm already planning the next one! (Don't tell Sarah, lol, she's gonna freak out when i tell her i'm ready to record again, ha ha!). Speaking of Sarah, it's looking more and more like we will continue touring together this fall and winter. We have decided that we need to tour this record together since we did write, record and produce it together. Stay tuned for the updates on the upcoming tour(s) and be sure to spread the word to your friends and family (and stranger too, please!) about the Cd and the shows. We need your continued support throughout this journey as we know, without question, without you we would be serving breakfast to tourists. Check out Sarah Peacock online: www.sarahpeacockmusic.com where you can hear her debut Cd. Also, just cuz I wanna brag about myself here... her most recent pictures are an example of my other passion, photography! I took them pictures and am so very proud of them. Check em out! Also, the website is undergoing many face lifts right now. Keep checking back, I'm gonna be adding some cool features and more interesting things rather than just the boring ole stuff that I never update anymore. I need to be better at adding journal stuff and keeping y'all up to date. I have been lazy and letting facebook take over my updates. So, stay tuned for more changes coming soon. June 13, 2010 It's that time again! Time for NEW MUSIC!! I am super excited for this new Cd to be out and it'll be ready for your listening pleasure on June 20th!! If you are planning on coming to the Eddie's Attic show on June 20th, you'll be one of the first to be able to get the record. All the pre-orders will go out as soon as they arrive on my door step, which should be Thursday, so I guess YOU'LL be the lucky ones who get it first. Yay! The past few years have been the hardest years of my entire life. I haven't been in a very good place emotionally, spiritually, physically or financially and I even contemplated quitting music all together. Those who are closest to me know what I have gone through & what it means to me to put out another cd when there was absolutely zero chance of it happening just last year. Until I write my autobiography, the rest of you will just have to trust that this Cd is an absolute miracle. ;-) Last October, Sarah Peacock was over at my house, and we were packing our gear up to go to St Croix for a three week tour. I pulled out an old 8 track from under my bed and said "hey, do you think we can record a Cd with this?" and I laughed, because the only thing that 8 track ever did for me frustrate me due to how hard it was to use. Sarah jumped up and said " we totally can!" I laughed harder and stuffed it back under my bed. She pulled it out again and insisted that we could use it to record. That was the beginning of this record. Sarah plays every instrument in the world and I happen to own every instrument in the world, (but can't play them, nice huh?), it made perfect sense for us to at least TRY to make it work. And here I am, six months later, introducing you to a brand new project, "A Little Bit Of You". It took us a lot longer to get it done than we expected. We added songs, took them off, added them back, re-cut them, re-wrote a few of them and fought tooth and nail about details that no one would ever know about. We spent four days in an empty Atlanta apartment and recorded non-stop, ate too many frozen pizzas in the freezing cold (no heat). We tore down the make shift studio there and hauled it to Nashville and recorded bits and pieces either at Sarah's apartment, or in the closet at my sister and brother in laws house. Then, we tore it all down again and hauled it up to Madison, Wi to my place and FINALLY completed it! Eleven songs that would have never seen the light of day had we not decided to dream bigger. It's amazing what you can do when you refuse to give up. I hope you will enjoy the new music, the new sound and the combined work of Sarah Peacock and myself. This project is as much hers as it is mine. I am grateful to her for sharing her talents with me on this project. We will celebrate the completion of this record at Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, GA on June 20th. We didn't plan it to be a release party as we weren't sure it would even be done by then. We're just going to celebrate the completion & start sellin' it.. We're also giving away a guitar at that show, just for fun. We'll throw a big ole party later... maybe a few of them. ;-) "If I'm Gonna Do It" is one of the songs off the new Cd... hope you like it... |
